I had a Diamond (the original Diamond) before Diamond sold out to Bow - Tech. The Diamond bow that is being built by Bow - Tech is definitely very cheaply made and its is no where near the class of bow that the originals are or were. The original Diamonds are very well built and are extremely accurate. I feel bad for the person in the photo. I hope that he gets his hand taken care of and does not have any lasting effects from the injury. I also hope that he is able to get the problems with the bow resolved with Bow - Tech.

According to what I had read, it was a defect in the bow. Had something to do with the limbs and at full draw, the strings would slip off of the cams. But don't quote me on this.
i wonder what rest he was using? I dont think that would happen if he was using a bisket.
Not sure if it mentioned what rest. But either way, whatever rest he was using, summed up a defect! If the string jumped of the cam something bad is gonna happen for sure,no matter what rest. Bad things man,bad things! I saw it happen years ago at a 3-D shoot. I've never seen an arm, wrist and hand, turn that color. Hit the dude's arm with so much force. Was surprised it didn't peel the skin of. Nasty stuff!

Yeah that is nasty. It would not surprise me if that was the new diamond bow. I have seen several bow techs explode because of bad limbs. I hope this will make the company take a closer look at their products. In any case still a horrible thing to happen.
With the damage even a standard sized three blade will do, he wouldnt have to worry abou having use of his finger. he would have a nub. But that must have REALLY hurt, because look at fish hooks, they are small, and they dont feel good.

I know all about fish hooks. Thats happened a few times. I've become a pro at extracting them!
